I didn't sleep well last night thinking of new color combinations. Since I started painting, I have stacked huuuge bags under my eyes. Just before I fell asleep I had this great idea for a real large canvas: a long line of people from afar to the front, where each person would be a rendition of a specific art subject (roman women, gods, Berbers, peasants, children...). Then the next morning when I woke up I recalled that the painter Miquel Barceló has a whole series based on lines of people (Sahara desert dwellers) and I decided that I'm not original at all and dropped the idea.

While I drove to work today, I felt really stupid about the whole painter thing. I feel like I will not last long at it.
