Máscaras
oil and acrylic on paper
This is an idea I had from a bas-relief of the Pompeian poet Menander, from I-II A.D. This is a small work that I will probably take to a large canvas soon. The idea is to make the masks with cubist and abstract faces, so that the man represents the painter who is attempting many art styles.
This is also the first time I've tried acrylic paints (black and white) to do the base for the canvas. It is not very good on paper, as it warps it badly.
