Not really what I had in mind. But I'll leave it here.
I saw a video by Helen Van Wyk today, where she paints a quite impressing still life. She had a show on PBS on painting maybe some twenty years ago. Here's a quote by her I really liked:
"My old teacher used to say that painting is all about making little successful accidents in rapid succession."
